오홀라(Oholah) 는
에스겔 23장 에 등장하는 상징적인 여인이다.
Oholibah 와 자매로 등장한다.
이 때에 북이스라엘 왕국이 하나님을 의지하기 보다 외세에 의존하다
Assyria 에게 멸망했는데, 그럼에도 불구하고 남유다 왕국이 계속 친 앗수르 정책을 펼치고, 이후에는
Babylon 에게 의존하는 정책을 취하는 것을 음란함으로 표현했다.
Their names were Oholah the elder, and Oholibah her sister. They became mine, and they bore sons and daughters. As for their names, Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem Oholibah.
“Her sister Oholibah saw this, yet she was more corrupt in her lusting than she, and in her prostitution which was more depraved than the prostitution of her sister.
“Therefore, Oholibah , the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I will raise up your lovers against you, from whom your soul is alienated, and I will bring them against you on every side:
Yahweh said moreover to me: “Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah ? Then declare to them their abominations.
They went in to her, as they go in to a prostitute. So they went in to Oholah and to Oholibah , the lewd women.
